Hello! My name is Ambriel Styve-Hector and I want to go into illustration and storyboarding! I love to create traditional artwork like drawings, paintings, sculpture, and ceramic work but I love the concept of using my art to tell a story and make people think and experience emotion; I want to inspire people to chase their own dreams with my art.
Story
Throughout my life, I've had a passion for creating art. I was always a very shy and quiet person while growing up; but art helped me get through it all. And when I was finally able to open myself up in high school to DATA students and make some of them my best friends, my art only got better! Using my 23 years of life to get up to this point has been amazingly fun; but it has also been tough. I'm very open and trusting of others; which can lead to heartache if given to the wrong person. But I've found friendships that I know will last me a lifetime. I hope to take these people with me on my journey of being an artist; for they have become the reason I do art! I use it to express my emotions, the love and happiness I share with them, which then just naturally becomes a part of my work. I hope to inspire everyone around me to chase their own hopes and dreams for the future with the art I create; I hope you enjoy what I have to make!

I Was A Part of the Digital Arts Technology Academy!
(DATA)
Animation and Digital Art 2012 - 2016
This academy helps teach students the ways of creation through technology! I was lucky enough to be a part of it throughout most of my high school years (Cathedral City High School) and gained many skills while there. I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop CS5 for digital art and animation, how to create promotional posters, and how to work as a team to create productions that would go on to several different contests and film festivals. For 2 of my years there, I created an animation called "The Light of Everything" that went to several different festivals and won a few awards. I love the DATA program and all the people in it, thank you for all the memories <3 |
Dream
I want to help inspire others to chase their dreams with my art. Art has been such an inspiration and has helped my personal life so much; I want to be able to show that to the world. When I first started drawing, it was just to pass the time; I had no real intent of it taking me anywhere. But, as time went on, I discovered that I really enjoyed drawing! It allowed me to express my feelings, thoughts, and dreams into the world as doodles; something I wasn't very good at doing through words. It helped me feel better about being quiet and shy, and even helped me become braver as a person in my group of friends. Once I figured out that art is what I wanted to do with my life, I set out to find more ways to create. I found that animation and storytelling through images was a fantastic use of my time; so I set out to be the best DATA student I could possibly be. Now, I can continue my work so that the world may see it. I may not inspire someone to chase their dreams, they may not even like my art, but that doesn't mean that I can't try! I'm going to do what I love because I think it matters to someone out there. If I can make someone try to accomplish their dreams, even if it's just one person: my dream of an artist will have been worth it.
So, what are you waiting for?!?! Go out there and start chasing your dreams for me! <3 |
I Am Currently A College Student!
As a Studio Arts Major enrolled at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA, I am constantly surrounded with people and tools to help me continue on my dream of being an artist. Most of my time is currently dedicated to the school and to home, but I still make time for personal life here and there. I plan to transfer to an art based school, but only time will tell which school I will attend. However, no matter what, I will continue to do my best and press on to accomplishing my goals.
